Countries signatory to the U.N. Convention on the Rights of the Child produce a biennial situational analysis of their children’s status. UNICEF contracted my partner and I to research and write Belize’s year 2000 report. The chapter resented here reflects the rights-based approach we applied – which UNICEF subsequently adopted as the contextual format for all reporting member-states.  Link to chapter

As Public Information & Education Program Coordinator for a nonprofit, I was responsible for the editing and publishing of a monthly newsletter. I also wrote articles this one, an op-ed about Belize's Freedom of Information Act.  Link to article

I wrote and produced this land rights issues brochure for the American Indian Law Center on behalf of Mopan and Ke'kchi Maya in Belize, Central America. My collaboration with a locally renowned artist/cartoonist resulted in a pamphlet that helped to raise the level of national discussion and broaden increased intercultural understanding.  Link to brochure

"Facts for Families" were recorded in English, Spanish, and Creole to provide lay information about Belize's Families and Children Act of 1998. (That's me voicing the first one.)
